Sign PDFs in your browser, no upload

Most online PDF signers ask you to upload the document, then send back a signed version after embedding the signature image into a new PDF on their server. Filzy keeps the entire flow local. You draw, type or upload your signature in your browser, place it visually on the chosen page, and the PDF is rebuilt with the signature embedded, all without the file ever leaving your device. The output is a regular signed PDF that opens correctly in Adobe Reader, Preview, Google Drive viewers, and any modern PDF software. The signature is a flat raster placed on the page, the same model used by services like DocuSign for casual sign use cases.

Files stay on your device

The PDF and the signature image are processed in a Web Worker. Neither the document nor your handwritten signature is ever sent to a server.

Three input methods

Draw with your trackpad, type your name in a script font, or upload a signature image you already have. Switch between modes without losing your work.

Visual placement

Drag the signature on the page preview to position it exactly where it should sit. Resize on the corner, apply to one page or to all pages at once.

How to sign a PDF with Filzy

  1. 1

    Drop your PDF

Drag the PDF in, or click to pick it. Filzy renders the pages locally with pdfjs and you can navigate between pages.

  2. 2

    Create your signature

Pick Draw, Type or Upload. Drawing uses your mouse or trackpad. Type renders your name in a handwriting font. Upload accepts PNG or JPG of an existing signature.

  3. 3

    Place it on the page

Click on the page to drop the signature, drag to reposition, resize from the corner. Use Apply to all pages if you need it on every page.

  4. 4

    Download the signed PDF

Filzy bakes the signature into the PDF locally and gives you the file to save. The original is unmodified.
