Convert HEIC to JPG without uploading your photos
HEIC is the format Apple introduced in 2017 to halve the storage cost of iPhone photos compared to JPG. The tradeoff is compatibility, plenty of software still chokes on HEIC, including Windows out of the box, most CMS upload widgets, older email clients and the majority of legacy enterprise tools. JPG is universal. Filzy's HEIC to JPG converter runs the decode step inside your browser via libheif compiled to WebAssembly, then re-encodes each photo to JPG using an optimised encoder. Original photos never leave your device, EXIF metadata is preserved unless you opt to strip it, and quality matches what a desktop converter would produce.
Photos stay on your device
Conversion runs in a Web Worker. Apple Live Photos and burst sequences stay private, no thumbnail nor full-res copy is sent anywhere.
Visual quality matches desktop tools
Default JPEG quality of 90 is what Photoshop and Pixelmator use. Output is visually identical to the source for typical phone photography.
Batch the whole album
Drop dozens of HEIC files at once. Filzy converts them in parallel and packages the result as a single ZIP for download.
